Freshford has always been committed to providing a quality service at good value for money. There are several ways we ensure that we carry out this commitment.
Firstly, we listen to what the clients tell us – we have a formal review at least every 12 months, where we come to the home and discuss the care package. We telephone our clients at least every three months to check that they are happy and we send out a written questionnaire every year. What we find in these reviews is carefully analysed so that we can see what we do well and where we could do better. More importantly, we encourage our clients to talk to us at any time. The office is manned from 0800 to 1700 Monday to Friday and we welcome visits in person as well as phone calls. After office hours there is always an on-call Manager at the end of the phone ready to listen and help.
We are absolutely committed to ongoing quality training for our carers. We also provide regular formal support meetings where they can discuss problems and issues as well as a dedicated team of office staff who support the carers 24 hours a day whilst they are carrying out their duties. The consequence of this is that our staff turnover is much lower than the national average.
We have a comprehensive Quality System which ensures we improve our performance year on year.
Freshford has been a provider of care for Social Services in East Sussex for over 12 years and has recently won a block contract on the basis of a quality service and value for money. In addition, Freshford Home Care Ltd holds the quality standard Investors in People, which recognises companies who invest in their staff in order to achieve their aims.
